Happy Valentine's Day

My gosh where has the time gone? I have been so behind in this blogging thing that I didn't realize that I hadn't posted any Valentine's creations and my internet was on the fritz yesterday so please bear with me as I will put them all in this post.

Here are a couple of gift card holders made with PTI's Cash or Charge template and Echo Park's Be Mine Collection. This line from Echo Park is my favorite Valentine line this season. Super cute!

This is what it looks like when you pull the tab to reveal your gift card. I just love this template.

Next up is a simple candy book box that I created. Sorry, I don't have a template put together. I just measured and cut as I went along and didn't write anything down. I'm sure you can find templates to similar projects online.
For this project I used TGF's Cheeky Glamour and Echo Park's Be Mine collection.

I used chipboard covered with DP for the covers and spine and finally gave those paper roses a try. They're so fun to make and easy too!

I just love using Ferrero Rochere candies (as you can see! LOL) They're so pretty and so YUM-O!

Here's a Lolli-Pop Along, again from PTI.
I made some of those lollipop flowers with some pretty tissue paper and stuck em in there. The flowers are kinda smushed by the acetate but I love how these turned out. I made these for my niece and nephew all the way in Texas. The stamp set and chipboard pieces used for this is by Martha Stewart.

Lastly, my daughter loves word art and she is always posting quotes and phrases on Facebook so I found this cute phrase on Lucky Lemon and decided to make her this picture frame. Very simple and plain but she isn't into all the frilly stuff. The other night when I was making those paper roses she was so intrigued with them so I had to throw a couple on here.

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day, thanks so much for stopping by!

A Shutt-erfly Valentine

Happy Saturday friends! Sorry I forgot to post this last night. I had some of my son's football friends over for a sleep over and things were a little crazy over here! They are really good boys but you can imagine how loud it can get when they are all having fun!

Anyhow, on to today's project.

I just love the template "shutt-erfly" from Lauren Meaders new store called My Time Made Easy. I used kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink to make the box. I just love how sturdy that card stock is. I wanted the red and black to really stand out so I left the decorating to a minimum. Sometimes simple can be so beautiful.
The image is from The Greeting Farm. I used the body of Stella and the head of Ruby. I just love all the new stamps Marie has been coming out with. Make sure you stop by her store on February 15th as she will be releasing a brand new line of Sprouts called the Cheeky Cherry Collection. If you haven't seen these girls yet, go check them out on her blog. They are so dang cute!!!

I made my box a little different from the actual template. I made it so that the top was removable so that the recipient wouldn't have to rip the box open. This box is a pretty good size too, I filled this one with a whole bag of those Dove chocolate hearts and as you can see, it didn't reach the top. I could have easily added another half bag.

Thanks for stopping by!

Be Mine.....

Wow, can you believe I'm posting two days in a row? I'm so proud of myself! LOL!

Well, today is the last day of school for my daughter before Valentine's Day so she stayed up late last night baking cookies for her Valentine's gifts for her friends and teachers. Thank God she loves to bake (cause I sure don't!) because she baked a lot of cookies! While she stayed home and baked me, my hubz and my son went to watch Avatar in the IMax theaters. I know, I know...what a bad mom...well, she didn't want to watch it and besides, I did make all of her packaging for her treats!
The movie was awesome!!!!! I have to admit I really didn't want to watch it but since my hubz begged, I couldn't say no. I'm so glad I went! If you didn't see it yet it's a MUST SEE!!! Especially in IMax!

Okay, now on to today's photo:

Since I had to make so much I decided to go with something simple. This box was a cinch to make. Found the cute ribbon at Flora-Dec and it was on sale! Yay! Who doesn't love a sale?
These boxes fit 5 regular sized cookies and let me tell you...it was so hard not eating them as I was packaging them for her last night when I got back! I did sneak a taste and they were delicious!!!

Have a beautiful day everyone!

A Gorjuss Valentine

Happy Wednesday everyone! My gosh has it been over a month since my last post!? My goodness! Anyhow, I have been working on some Valentine's Day stuff and I thought I'd share some them with you before Valentine's Day passes! LOL! I know I have been a terrible blogger but please bare with me. I think you'll enjoy what I have for you today.

My boss asked me to make her a set of Valentine's Day cards. She just loves the Gorjuss Girls so she requested that I use them. I couldn't resist to make a cute matching card box to send her cards in.

Here is a close up of the card.

I didn't want to make all of her cards the same so I made some red ones using a different Gorjuss Girl. And of course I made a matching card box for this set too!
Here is a close up the the red card.

Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with more Valentine's Day stuff!

Around the corner.......

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and that your new year is off to a joyous start! Sorry I didn't post any Christmas projects but I had so many orders and so little time! I don't think I took pictures of anything! Always struggling to finish my Christmas shopping and meet order deadlines! This Christmas was really crazy for me! Anyhow, I won't babble about that, I'm sure you were all pretty much in the same boat as me.

A friend of mine asked me to make a birthday card for her hubby. She wanted the Anya/Ian combo so this is what I came up with. Since Valentine's Day is right around the corner and this could very well pass as a Valentines card I thought it would be perfect to post right now. I cased this idea from somewhere on the web. Sorry, I don't even remember who it was....but I just loved how it looks like Ian is thinking about Anya. Too cute!

Well, I hope you all have a beautiful week! Thanks for stopping by!

50's Sweethearts Mailboxes

Here are a few more mailboxes that I made for my niece to give to her teachers for Valentines Day.   For these, I used the new digital image from The Greeting Farm called 50's Sweethearts.  I just love this new image.  Don't they remind you of Danny and Sandy from Grease?  Too cute!!!!
Each mailbox had a bunch of wrapped Hershey's Nuggets (like the ones I had in my other mailbox post).  I used DP from Basic Grey's Bittersweet and Scarlett's Letter line.

Having Tea with Pretty Hat Anya

I wanted to do a non-traditional gift for a friend, co-worker or teacher for Valentine's Day.  A little something to say "I Love You" or "I appreciate You" without all the mushy stuff.  Some people might feel weird giving their co-workers something with hearts and the word "love" on it.  Anyhow, this is a tea packet dispenser that one can keep on her desk.  It's so cute and since it doesn't have the traditional Valentines Day theme, they could use it all year long and can be given for many other occasions.  I used the Pretty Hat Anya stamp and once again I made use of my Basic Grey paper.  This dispenser stands about 6" tall.
Here is an upclose view of her pearl necklace.  I used white pearlstuds from Kandi Corp.

Not sure if you remember but I made this box in an earlier post.  I just changed it up a bit to turn it into a dispenser.  You can see that post here.

Sweet Love Letters

I have been waiting a while to post this project.  Do you remember when we were in grade school and the teachers would let us make these boxes to put all of our Valentine's Day cards in, and we would get all these sweet little cards and treats from our friends? Well, with that in mind I have been on the hunt for these cute little mailboxes and I finally got them in!  My best friend lives in Texas so I had her raid all the Target's she could find.  She bought whatever she could get her hands on and sent them to me!  This is the first one I made.  This cute little monkey is from The Greeting Farm's Sweet Deal set.  Isn't he stinkin' cute?  I wrapped some Hershey's Nuggets in DP from My Minds Eye to fill it with.  The mailbox is metal and both of the doors open.  It measures about 5" x 3".  I'll be making much more since I have orders for them already so I'll post those pictures in a later post.

Cupcake Gable Boxes

Remember those gable boxes from an earlier post?  Well, I down sized them a bit to make them the perfect size to hold cupcakes.  I included an insert to set the cupcake in so that they won't slide.  I used the cute little cupcake image from The Greeting Farm's Sweet Deal set.

Just a Little Eye Candy

It totally slipped my mind that my kids last day of school is today!  Well, they go on a three week intercession break so they won't be there on Valentine's Day.  My daughter reminded me lastnight and I realized that I had not finished all the gifts they wanted for their friends.  My sweet husband cooked dinner for me so I could get cracking on these gifts for them.  They both wanted me to make these Lollipop Along boxes so I thought I'd just share with you all of the different designs.  Enjoy!

Floral Lollipop Along

I just love these Lollipop Along holders as you will see in the next two posts (and one I did the other day!)  I wanted to do different versions of it to show how versitile it can be and also to show you that you can alter pretty much any template to make it your own.  I will be making more of these because my daughter wants to give them to her friends for Valentine's Day and I want to make each one of them different.  Make sure you scroll down because I have 3 posts today.

Valentine's Crispy Cones

How about this treat to satisfy your sweet tooth!?  These are rice crispy treats made with strawberry marshmallows and candy sprinkles stuffed in an ice cream cone.  This holder was also inspired by Lauren's Lollipop Along template altered to the size I needed.  I just love how these came out!

Hello Kitty Valentine's Treat

I found these cute Hello Kitty candies the other day and just had to make a cute holder to present it in.  I made another one too but the pictures for that one came out pretty bad, so I'll post that another day.  Anyways, the holder was inspired by that Lollipop Along box by Lauren that I posted the other day.  I just adjusted the measurements to the size I needed.  This box measures about 2" x 6".

Sweet Gable Boxes

Okay, I just got my shipment of paper from DCWV and I just had to create something new.  This first box is made with Wild Butterflies, isn't it just adorable!  It isn't a new line, DCWV has had it for a while but I kept putting off ordering it.  After seeing how cute these papers were I wonder what took me so long!  Anyways, these gable boxes measure 5" long x 3" wide x 4 1/2" tall.
This second box is made with Sweet Lollipop Shop.  It's hard to see in this photo but most of the images on this paper have glitter on them!  How cute is that?  Anyhow, I wanted to do a Valentine's Day gift box that wasn't so traditional in color.  I love the colors pink and red but with all the sweet treats given out on Valentine's Day why not go with all these sweet pastel colors?

Well, I have lots more to show you but I still need to take more pictures so make sure you come back soon.  I'm hoping to post those tomorrow.  Ciao!

Date Night In

If you haven't heard of Lauren Meader yet, I suggest you go and check out her blog.  She is amazing!  I must say that she is super talented.  She has a line of templates on Papertrey Ink's webpage that can be purchased for a super low price.  The past few days she has been showing samples of the new templates that was to be released tonight and I fell in love with this one called "Take Along Tote".  This is what inspired me to create this box.  I couldn't wait for her template to be released so I sat and tried one on my own.  I was hoping to finish these samples earlier but I was too busy to wrap things up fast enough.  If you like this I suggest you purchase her template cause I'm sure hers is much nicer.

This is a great Valentine's Day gift for a couple you may know who don't have
much time to go out to spend some one on one time.  Give them a "Date Night In" gift box.
The front pocket holds some Hershey's Chocolate Bars.
The back pocket holds a bag of popcorn.
In Lauren's sample she included a movie gift card but I thought I would make mine to hold a DVD instead since there are so many DVD's that are really cheap these days!  (Now isn't The Notebook the most romantic movie?)
Here's a sideview picture.

Here's another sample using stamps from The Greeting Farm.

Okay, I really don't know why I put the Transformers movie in there but that was just the first DVD I grabbed for taking this picture.
Well, I hope you all enjoyed these.  Make sure you go and check out Lauren's blog.
Have an awesome Aloha Friday!

Double Pocket Cocoa Holder

Many of you have been asking me if I was going to make cocoa holders for Valentine's Day.  I will be making the ones I did for Christmas seen here, but today I concocted this one.  This is a double pocket cocoa holder with a magnetic closure.  I'm sure you could think of other things to fill this with if you don't like cocoa.   This one is made with Hello Kitty, I thought it was perfect for Valentine's Day since she was holding a heart, but we can do them in any theme.

Valentine's Day Lolli-Pop Along

This box is called the Lolli-Pop Along.  It carries 5 lollipops and is so pretty to give as a gift.  Notice the lollipops...they're pink and red hearts!   The template for this box can be purchased from Papertrey Ink.
Here's a better view from the side so you can see the lollipops.  I have a couple other samples of this coming soon.

Anya Notebooks

Here's a cute little Valentine's Day gift you could give to the ladies in the office, teachers, or even a teenager in your life.  These notebooks are 5" x 8".  All images are from The Greeting Farm (of course!).
