Sweet 16

I hope you all had a nice three day weekend. As for me, it seemed more like a week than three days! Usually I love three day weekends but this weekend we were so busy! We celebrated my daughters 16th birthday on Saturday and today my family ran in the Great Aloha Run. Talk about exhausting! But don't get me wrong, it was tons of fun! I'm just glad its over.

So for all those Hello Kitty fans this post is for you. I couldn't get away without making my own daughter her very own Hello Kitty favors for her friends. Since they are a little older I had to make something more age appropriate so I came up with these:

Rockstar Hello Kitty 1-quart paint cans with matching clocks.

I used Fushia Swarovski crystals in place of the missing numbers and on the pails in Hello Kitty's bow.

Placed all the clocks in those cute little Hello Kitty bags you see in the background and filled each paint can with goodies.
The girls loved them!

Here's a picture I took of my daughter (the one holding the baby) and some of her friends while we were setting up.

Happy Sweet 16 baby girl!

Mekayla's 1st Birthday

Wow can you all believe that it's been over a year since I posted pictures of my sister's baby shower!? We just celebrated Mekayla's 1st birthday two weeks ago and I can't believe how fast time flew by! I had been MIA from my blog but with good reason. Besides the car accident, I had been working on this birthday party for the past few months amongst other orders that I had to fill.

Well enough with the chit chat...let's move on to the pictures!

These are the favors that I created. I had to make 240 of them. All the boxes were cut by hand so you can imagine why this took me a while! Each favor was filled with two Ferrero Rocher chocolates and tied off with a lavender ribbon.

These are the centerpieces that we made. Our friends over at Popcorn Express Hawaii made us a special blend of matching pink kettle corn to place in each centerpiece. If you haven't tried their Kettle Corn yet, you are so missing out! Talk about delish!!! We made 24 of these centerpieces but I accidently forgot one at home so I got to keep one for myself after all (LOL!).

Here we have the card box. If you remember my post on my sister's baby shower, I used this same basket to wrap her gift in. She saved it and wanted to use it for her party. I wanted it to match the party theme so I redid it a bit. I just love how Hello Kitty is peeking over the edge of the basket. So cute!

This cupcake tower took me about 5 days to make. I wish I took better pictures of it so that you could see the fine detail but unfortunately with all the running around that day, this is the best I have. I'm hoping my sister has better pictures of it. Each of the four sides has grass, flowers with button centers, butterflies and a picket fence that was popped up with 3 layers of pop tape. Even though we had a full sheet of birthday cake, we used this cupcake tower as the focal point of the dessert table. Oh and no, I didn't bake the cupcakes, we ordered them (LOL!) but I did make a Hello Kitty pick for each cupcake. I was supposed to bake the cupcakes but by then I was so tired I that I ran out of steam! Haha!

Here is my adorable niece Mekayla. She truly enjoyed herself that night and I am so glad. Isn't she a cutie!?

Happy 1st birthday Mekayla!

Thanks for visiting!

Another Hello Kitty party

Happy Memorial Day everyone! Just adding this to my collection of Hello Kitty party favors and centerpieces. Had to make this set for a sweet customer named Jen from Hilo. Her daughter is having her 3rd birthday soon and she ordered these from me. I just shipped them out and I hope she likes how they turned out. Sorry the picture isn't a good one but by the time I finished I had to pack them up and ship them off for them to get to her in time. I only had two weeks to make 80 favors and 15 centerpieces. Ususlly two weeks is ample time but not when you have other orders to do at the same time! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your Memorial weekend!

Hello Kitty Baby Shower

Back in December I threw my sister (the one in the pink) a Hello Kitty themed baby shower. Sorry to be posting the photo's so late but you know how things go.

Anyhow, my sister wasn't too much into the Kello Kitty thing but I figured since she didn't have a theme and Hello Kitty is so girly and cute, why not! Thank God she loved how everything turned out.

Here is the invitation, favors and centerpiece.
This is the gift I made her. Got this cute basket from Ross and stuffed it full of goodies.
Instead of the traditional cake, I wanted to do something prettier and easier to serve. So I made this cupcake tower. My daughter baked all the cupcakes and they were delish! I think this came out really cute!
Here is her cake table along with all of the prizes we had for baby shower games. Of course I had to make a custom Hello Kitty box for each one! To make the table more pretty of course! LOL!
Here is my beautiful niece Mekayla. She was born on January 8th. Isn't she just adorable!

Thanks for stopping by, have a fab weekend!

For a sweet little girl......

Are you guys all ready for Christmas? I sure ain't! Been so busy crafting that I haven't even started my Christmas shopping yet! Crazy! Well, I have been missing from the blogging scene for a while but believe me, I have been crafting. Just way too busy to post....I know, I'm so terrible.
Anyhow, last month I got a call from a dear friend whose little niece passed away. Instead of buying a floral wreath that would eventually die, my friend wanted to give the family something that they could keep forever to remember her by and also something that cheered everyone up when they saw it. She wanted some type of silk floral arrangement in happy colors that could be placed up front at the funeral service.
Since she was such a young little girl who loved Hello Kitty, I went with that. This is the floral bouquet that I came up with.

My friend loved it and she said that her family also loved it. I'm just glad it helped to lighten the mood a little bit. My sincere condolences go out to their family at this most difficult time.

Aloha Kitty

Happy Friday all!  The past couple days I have been in bed with some kind of cold!  I feel miserable but took a cold tablet and decided to clean my craft area while I'm feeling a little better.  Within the next couple weeks we will be moving to a new house and my craft area is a absolute mess so before I start packing up I have some major cleaning to do.

Here's a simple card I made a few weeks ago with this darling Hello Kitty Sizzix die.  She's a cutie!

Well have an awesome weekend! TFL!

Sneak Peek

Well I promised you a little sneak peek of some of the things we will have at the craft fair today.  I have very little time to make this post so here are just a few items.

Accordian File Folders:

Since I last posted those Hello Kitty file folders I have had many requests to make more to bring to the craft fair.  Those Hello Kitty fanatics will be picking these up at the fair.  Since I am a big fan of the new M.A.C. Hello Kitty, I just had to make my own rendition of it.  I absolutely love how they came out.

Picture Frames:

Here are some of the picture frames I created for the craft fair.  The top three were made using those adorable Gorjuss Girl stamps.

We will have many more stuff at the fair.  Please come and visit us today from 2-8 pm at Kapolei Middle School.  Bring the whole family for some food, crafts, kiddie rides and a movie (Bolt by Disney).  They said it's supposed to storm today.....hopefully they're wrong!  Keep your fingers crossed!

Have a beautiful weekend!

Accordian File Folders

THERE ARE 4 POSTS AGAIN TODAY SO MAKE SURE TO SCROLL DOWN.

How cute is this!?  This is our large file folder (4" x 9").  Used the Hello Kitty cart to make the HK face and yellow crystalina crystals from Kandi Corp.
Inside view.  All of the folders have a hidden mangetic closure.
Another large one.
And another large one.
We also have them in smaller sizes (3" x 6").
Here is a picture of a large and a small so you can see the comparison.
