Heartfelt Thanks

Now that my sons pop warner football season is finally over I can finally relax and get back into the groove of things. I really enjoyed spending all that time with the boys at practice everyday and games every weekend but it sure took a toll on me!

Here are the gifts I made for the ladies that helped to make our team such an awesome one! Our team mom, business manager and a few other ladies who put in so much time for our boys. I bought some Big Island Chocolate Dipped Shortbread Cookies and some Godiva Chocolate Dipped Pretzels and wrapped them all the same with a matching card.

For the players and the coaching staff I put together a video slide show of the entire season. That was another project that took up most of my time! I had no idea what I was doing cause I had never made a DVD before so I had to teach myself how to use the program I purchased. Let me tell you.....it was a lot of trial and error and hundreds of photos to edit! But I was determined to get it right so that it looked professional enough to give as a gift. I must say that I was very happy with the end result!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Aloha Friday!!!!!

A birthday card for mom

Wow, can you all believe that I have posted two days in a row! Like I said, I have so much to share with you, I just hope I can keep up with this posting thing! LOL!

I'll have to keep this post very short. My 12-year old son and husband will be running in the Honolulu Marathon tomorrow and I have to wake up at 3 a.m. to drop them off! My gosh!
Wish them luck cause I know they'll need it!!!! I don't know what they heck they were thinking when they signed up for it! Guess I'd better get the Bengay ready!!!!

Okay, now on to my card.
Last month we celebrated my mom's 21st birthday (*wink*). She would seriously hurt me if I gave you her real age! Anyways, I bought her a gift certificate from Al's Tinting ( a dear friend of mine) to get a full tint job done on her brand new car. The gift certificate was rather large in size so I made this card 4" x 9".

The butterflies and sentiment used for this card are from C.C. Designs.

Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

For a sweet little girl......

Are you guys all ready for Christmas? I sure ain't! Been so busy crafting that I haven't even started my Christmas shopping yet! Crazy! Well, I have been missing from the blogging scene for a while but believe me, I have been crafting. Just way too busy to post....I know, I'm so terrible.
Anyhow, last month I got a call from a dear friend whose little niece passed away. Instead of buying a floral wreath that would eventually die, my friend wanted to give the family something that they could keep forever to remember her by and also something that cheered everyone up when they saw it. She wanted some type of silk floral arrangement in happy colors that could be placed up front at the funeral service.
Since she was such a young little girl who loved Hello Kitty, I went with that. This is the floral bouquet that I came up with.

My friend loved it and she said that her family also loved it. I'm just glad it helped to lighten the mood a little bit. My sincere condolences go out to their family at this most difficult time.
