Sweet 16

I hope you all had a nice three day weekend. As for me, it seemed more like a week than three days! Usually I love three day weekends but this weekend we were so busy! We celebrated my daughters 16th birthday on Saturday and today my family ran in the Great Aloha Run. Talk about exhausting! But don't get me wrong, it was tons of fun! I'm just glad its over.

So for all those Hello Kitty fans this post is for you. I couldn't get away without making my own daughter her very own Hello Kitty favors for her friends. Since they are a little older I had to make something more age appropriate so I came up with these:

Rockstar Hello Kitty 1-quart paint cans with matching clocks.

I used Fushia Swarovski crystals in place of the missing numbers and on the pails in Hello Kitty's bow.

Placed all the clocks in those cute little Hello Kitty bags you see in the background and filled each paint can with goodies.
The girls loved them!

Here's a picture I took of my daughter (the one holding the baby) and some of her friends while we were setting up.

Happy Sweet 16 baby girl!

Happy Valentine's Day

My gosh where has the time gone? I have been so behind in this blogging thing that I didn't realize that I hadn't posted any Valentine's creations and my internet was on the fritz yesterday so please bear with me as I will put them all in this post.

Here are a couple of gift card holders made with PTI's Cash or Charge template and Echo Park's Be Mine Collection. This line from Echo Park is my favorite Valentine line this season. Super cute!

This is what it looks like when you pull the tab to reveal your gift card. I just love this template.

Next up is a simple candy book box that I created. Sorry, I don't have a template put together. I just measured and cut as I went along and didn't write anything down. I'm sure you can find templates to similar projects online.
For this project I used TGF's Cheeky Glamour and Echo Park's Be Mine collection.

I used chipboard covered with DP for the covers and spine and finally gave those paper roses a try. They're so fun to make and easy too!

I just love using Ferrero Rochere candies (as you can see! LOL) They're so pretty and so YUM-O!

Here's a Lolli-Pop Along, again from PTI.
I made some of those lollipop flowers with some pretty tissue paper and stuck em in there. The flowers are kinda smushed by the acetate but I love how these turned out. I made these for my niece and nephew all the way in Texas. The stamp set and chipboard pieces used for this is by Martha Stewart.

Lastly, my daughter loves word art and she is always posting quotes and phrases on Facebook so I found this cute phrase on Lucky Lemon and decided to make her this picture frame. Very simple and plain but she isn't into all the frilly stuff. The other night when I was making those paper roses she was so intrigued with them so I had to throw a couple on here.

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day, thanks so much for stopping by!

Christmas Cookie Boxes

Hi everyone! Yes, I'm still alive......I'm sorry I haven't been updating my blog but my sister and I were in a car accident and we had to go to physical therapy three times a week. I'm somewhat recovered now but sitting and crafting is fairly hard on me. I have been crafting a little and I have pictures to share but some of them are from Halloween and I'm not too sure if you all want to be seeing Halloween stuff when it's already Christmas! Lol! I'll probably post them later just to add them to my collection of stuff.

Anywhoo.....Since this is my kids last week of school before Christmas break I had to get started on Christmas gifts for the teachers. Since I haven't been feeling much in the crafty mood lately I was stumped as to what I would make this year. A while ago I stumbled upon this awesome recipe for Almond Shortbread Cookies and I figured I would bake some up for their teachers. Try this recipe, I promise you'll love it!

Next I needed to come up with some pretty packaging to wrap these babies up in and I came across this Cookie Box Template from My Favorite Things. Here is my take on the box:

I'll be back later with more crafty Christmas gifts. Have a great week!

A Shutt-erfly Valentine

Happy Saturday friends! Sorry I forgot to post this last night. I had some of my son's football friends over for a sleep over and things were a little crazy over here! They are really good boys but you can imagine how loud it can get when they are all having fun!

Anyhow, on to today's project.

I just love the template "shutt-erfly" from Lauren Meaders new store called My Time Made Easy. I used kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink to make the box. I just love how sturdy that card stock is. I wanted the red and black to really stand out so I left the decorating to a minimum. Sometimes simple can be so beautiful.
The image is from The Greeting Farm. I used the body of Stella and the head of Ruby. I just love all the new stamps Marie has been coming out with. Make sure you stop by her store on February 15th as she will be releasing a brand new line of Sprouts called the Cheeky Cherry Collection. If you haven't seen these girls yet, go check them out on her blog. They are so dang cute!!!

I made my box a little different from the actual template. I made it so that the top was removable so that the recipient wouldn't have to rip the box open. This box is a pretty good size too, I filled this one with a whole bag of those Dove chocolate hearts and as you can see, it didn't reach the top. I could have easily added another half bag.

Thanks for stopping by!

Be Mine.....

Wow, can you believe I'm posting two days in a row? I'm so proud of myself! LOL!

Well, today is the last day of school for my daughter before Valentine's Day so she stayed up late last night baking cookies for her Valentine's gifts for her friends and teachers. Thank God she loves to bake (cause I sure don't!) because she baked a lot of cookies! While she stayed home and baked me, my hubz and my son went to watch Avatar in the IMax theaters. I know, I know...what a bad mom...well, she didn't want to watch it and besides, I did make all of her packaging for her treats!
The movie was awesome!!!!! I have to admit I really didn't want to watch it but since my hubz begged, I couldn't say no. I'm so glad I went! If you didn't see it yet it's a MUST SEE!!! Especially in IMax!

Okay, now on to today's photo:

Since I had to make so much I decided to go with something simple. This box was a cinch to make. Found the cute ribbon at Flora-Dec and it was on sale! Yay! Who doesn't love a sale?
These boxes fit 5 regular sized cookies and let me tell you...it was so hard not eating them as I was packaging them for her last night when I got back! I did sneak a taste and they were delicious!!!

Have a beautiful day everyone!

Heartfelt Thanks

Now that my sons pop warner football season is finally over I can finally relax and get back into the groove of things. I really enjoyed spending all that time with the boys at practice everyday and games every weekend but it sure took a toll on me!

Here are the gifts I made for the ladies that helped to make our team such an awesome one! Our team mom, business manager and a few other ladies who put in so much time for our boys. I bought some Big Island Chocolate Dipped Shortbread Cookies and some Godiva Chocolate Dipped Pretzels and wrapped them all the same with a matching card.

For the players and the coaching staff I put together a video slide show of the entire season. That was another project that took up most of my time! I had no idea what I was doing cause I had never made a DVD before so I had to teach myself how to use the program I purchased. Let me tell you.....it was a lot of trial and error and hundreds of photos to edit! But I was determined to get it right so that it looked professional enough to give as a gift. I must say that I was very happy with the end result!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Aloha Friday!!!!!

A Special Gift for a Special Friend

Happy Wednesday everyone! I just wanted to share with you a little gift that I made for my boss. Many of you already know that I work for Nadine - The Suburban Psychic. If you haven't heard about her....where the heck have you been? LOL! If you really don't know who she is you can check her out on 98.5 every Thursday mornings at 7 a.m. Or you can visit her website or her blog. You can even click on the blinkie I have on the top left corner of my blog. She's an awesome psychic but most of all an amazing friend! I know some of you reading this are saying "I don't even believe in that stuff!" Well take my advice and give her a try, you'll be amazed!!!!

Anyhow, she had ordered a boxed set of monogrammed cards from me. She loves the color purple and adores the Gorjuss Girls. Here is what I came up with:

Since she is just the sweetest thing, I wanted to make her a couple more things to send with her order. I made this cute little desk top note set to match her monogrammed note cards.

A matching Post-It holder:
And this bookmark because she loves to read.
She received her box last week and said she loves her stuff! Yay, I'm so happy!
Have a beautiful day everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Fold N' Go Butterfly

My gosh how long has it been!? Sorry for being M.I.A. but so much has been going on and I have been uber busy! With my son's football starting up, a new job and my grandmother being in the hospital I have had hardly any time to do anything! It's been pretty rough not having any time to craft! I sure do miss all of you and now that I have some time I must go and check all of your blogs to see what I have been missing! LOL!

With all that aside, I did manage to make this beautiful gift box using the "Fold N' Go" template by Lauren Meader. This template comes in two sizes, small and large. This one uses the large template and you can find it here. The sentiment and butterfly stamps are from C.C. Designs and you can find them here. I just adore this stamp set and the template was so easy to follow.

That's it for today, I have to get to work. I hope you all have a fantabulous weekend!

A million hugs!

Teachers Gifts Galore

Okay, so remember I said I had to make 14 teachers gifts?  Well at 1:00 this morning I FINALLY finished!  Not to mention  I had to wake up at 5 this morning to make some Spanish Rice for my daughters class party!  I am wiped out but oh well, since I'm on a roll I'll be doing some vacuuming and I'll shampoo my carpets too.  All this crafting left me so little time to get things done around my house.

Okay, now on to the project.
This is not a good picture cause it was in the wee hours and the lighting was so bad but this was made using the "Pack-A-Picnic" template from Papertrey Ink.  I made a variety of different colors and styles but to tell you the truth I was in no mood to have a "photo session" ! LOL!
Here are the contents inside.  I included General Foods International coffee and some chocolate dipped Biscotti.

Here are some cookies that were wrapped in DP.  Just something really simple and fast!  I also made some desktop post-it holders but I wrapped it before taking pictures.  I was so bummed but was in no mood to have to rewrap them again just for a picture.  My brain must have fallen asleep while my body kept going!   Well I'm glad it's over now I can relax and just craft for the joy of it (after I clean the house!).
Okay, I'm off to do some housework!  TFL have a beautiful day!

Annika and a Card Couture

Have you guys seen the new release of templates by Lauren Meader over at Papertrey Ink?  This is called "Card Couture" and  it can hold a lot of A2 sized cards.
Anyway, a friend of mine who used to stamp with me many, many years ago quit stamping cause she never had any time.  Since then I have been making all of her cards for her.  After she seen all the images from The Greeting Farm she fell in love with them and has been wanting to start stamping again.  So to get her back into the groove of things I thought I would make her this gift.  Her favorite image is "Annika" so of course I had to put her on the front of the box!
Here is a picture of another angle so you can see the details of the handle.
Opened view.  Flap stays put with a velcro dot.
Used the Martha Stweart Scallop border punch for the detail on the back.
Instead of filling this card couture with finished cards.  I filled it with some Greeting Farm images to help get her started.  I hope she likes her gift!  TFL!  Have an awesome weekend!

A Mother's Day Gift Box and A Beautiful RAK

I hope all you mommy's had a splendid Mother's Day.

I know it's kinda late to post Mother's Day stuff but I wanted to share this pretty 3" x 6" box I put together for my mom's gift.
Here's a close up of the acetate window stamped with "Mother" and "Butterfly Kisses" by PTI.

RAK from Linda

Linda from Simple and Sassy Creations sent me this adorable monkey card.  The DP she used is so cute, it has all these little monkeys on it!  I just love it, it's so cute!
She also made me this Twilight bookmark.  If you guys didn't already know, Linda and I are obsessed with Edward Cullen!  It sounds retarded....I know......but we don't care! LOL!  She also gave me a Twilight button of Edward kissing Bella.  I told Linda that I wish it was me he was kissing! LMAO!  Okay, okay....too much info...I know!  Anyways, Linda you are so awesome, thank you so much!

Easter Anya Round Top Boxes

There are 4 posts today so make sure to scroll down.

Once again I didn't realize that this was the last day of school before Easter.  I don't know what it is but it seems that I am so out of touch with dates lately!  It hit me late last night and so I had to scramble to make some treats for my kids friends.   With little time on my hands I decided to make these round top boxes and fill them with Jelly Belly's.
Easter Anya is a digital image from The Greeting Farm.  My goodness, she is so cute!  The little chick and sentiment are from Stampendous.
Here are the different colors.  I made about a dozen of them.
