Happy Valentine's Day

My gosh where has the time gone? I have been so behind in this blogging thing that I didn't realize that I hadn't posted any Valentine's creations and my internet was on the fritz yesterday so please bear with me as I will put them all in this post.

Here are a couple of gift card holders made with PTI's Cash or Charge template and Echo Park's Be Mine Collection. This line from Echo Park is my favorite Valentine line this season. Super cute!

This is what it looks like when you pull the tab to reveal your gift card. I just love this template.

Next up is a simple candy book box that I created. Sorry, I don't have a template put together. I just measured and cut as I went along and didn't write anything down. I'm sure you can find templates to similar projects online.
For this project I used TGF's Cheeky Glamour and Echo Park's Be Mine collection.

I used chipboard covered with DP for the covers and spine and finally gave those paper roses a try. They're so fun to make and easy too!

I just love using Ferrero Rochere candies (as you can see! LOL) They're so pretty and so YUM-O!

Here's a Lolli-Pop Along, again from PTI.
I made some of those lollipop flowers with some pretty tissue paper and stuck em in there. The flowers are kinda smushed by the acetate but I love how these turned out. I made these for my niece and nephew all the way in Texas. The stamp set and chipboard pieces used for this is by Martha Stewart.

Lastly, my daughter loves word art and she is always posting quotes and phrases on Facebook so I found this cute phrase on Lucky Lemon and decided to make her this picture frame. Very simple and plain but she isn't into all the frilly stuff. The other night when I was making those paper roses she was so intrigued with them so I had to throw a couple on here.

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day, thanks so much for stopping by!

Mekayla's 1st Birthday

Wow can you all believe that it's been over a year since I posted pictures of my sister's baby shower!? We just celebrated Mekayla's 1st birthday two weeks ago and I can't believe how fast time flew by! I had been MIA from my blog but with good reason. Besides the car accident, I had been working on this birthday party for the past few months amongst other orders that I had to fill.

Well enough with the chit chat...let's move on to the pictures!

These are the favors that I created. I had to make 240 of them. All the boxes were cut by hand so you can imagine why this took me a while! Each favor was filled with two Ferrero Rocher chocolates and tied off with a lavender ribbon.

These are the centerpieces that we made. Our friends over at Popcorn Express Hawaii made us a special blend of matching pink kettle corn to place in each centerpiece. If you haven't tried their Kettle Corn yet, you are so missing out! Talk about delish!!! We made 24 of these centerpieces but I accidently forgot one at home so I got to keep one for myself after all (LOL!).

Here we have the card box. If you remember my post on my sister's baby shower, I used this same basket to wrap her gift in. She saved it and wanted to use it for her party. I wanted it to match the party theme so I redid it a bit. I just love how Hello Kitty is peeking over the edge of the basket. So cute!

This cupcake tower took me about 5 days to make. I wish I took better pictures of it so that you could see the fine detail but unfortunately with all the running around that day, this is the best I have. I'm hoping my sister has better pictures of it. Each of the four sides has grass, flowers with button centers, butterflies and a picket fence that was popped up with 3 layers of pop tape. Even though we had a full sheet of birthday cake, we used this cupcake tower as the focal point of the dessert table. Oh and no, I didn't bake the cupcakes, we ordered them (LOL!) but I did make a Hello Kitty pick for each cupcake. I was supposed to bake the cupcakes but by then I was so tired I that I ran out of steam! Haha!

Here is my adorable niece Mekayla. She truly enjoyed herself that night and I am so glad. Isn't she a cutie!?

Happy 1st birthday Mekayla!

Thanks for visiting!

Christmas Cookie Boxes

Hi everyone! Yes, I'm still alive......I'm sorry I haven't been updating my blog but my sister and I were in a car accident and we had to go to physical therapy three times a week. I'm somewhat recovered now but sitting and crafting is fairly hard on me. I have been crafting a little and I have pictures to share but some of them are from Halloween and I'm not too sure if you all want to be seeing Halloween stuff when it's already Christmas! Lol! I'll probably post them later just to add them to my collection of stuff.

Anywhoo.....Since this is my kids last week of school before Christmas break I had to get started on Christmas gifts for the teachers. Since I haven't been feeling much in the crafty mood lately I was stumped as to what I would make this year. A while ago I stumbled upon this awesome recipe for Almond Shortbread Cookies and I figured I would bake some up for their teachers. Try this recipe, I promise you'll love it!

Next I needed to come up with some pretty packaging to wrap these babies up in and I came across this Cookie Box Template from My Favorite Things. Here is my take on the box:

I'll be back later with more crafty Christmas gifts. Have a great week!

Mint Chocolate Chip

This weekend a very special couple from Japan will be tying the knot here on the Hawaiian Islands. The bride picked Mint and Chocolate Chip as her wedding colors and I must say that color combo turned out to be such a beautiful one. Below are the favors I created for her wedding. It's a little hard to see from this photo but the Brown Sugar layer is embossed with a floral pattern.

Here are a couple pictures of her flowers. Aren't they beautiful!?

Last but not least, her bridesmaids dresses. Love it!
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Girl's Day!!!!

Happy Girl's Day everyone!!!

As promised, here are the Girl's Day treats I made for my children's teachers. Once again I used one of the adorable stamps from Hero Arts Four Dolls set.
The box is a simple take out box. I know take out boxes are normally for Chinese food and Girl's Day is a Japanese tradition but I thought it matched the Asian theme anyway.

Well, it's been a long day and I'm awfully sleepy so I won't drag this post any longer.
Have a beautiful day ladies!

Girl's Day Treats

Okay, as promised here are the Girl's Day treats I made for my daughter's friends. I used the tutorial shown here for the box. This box was so simple to make and it only uses one 8 1/2"x 11" sheet of cardstock! I used the Four Dolls images from Hero Arts again. There are three other girls in this cute set but this little cutie is my favorite!
Here is what the box looks like opened. It's filled with Japanese candy.

I'll be making something different for her teachers so I'll post those tomorrow.

Ciao!

Hello Kitty Baby Shower

Back in December I threw my sister (the one in the pink) a Hello Kitty themed baby shower. Sorry to be posting the photo's so late but you know how things go.

Anyhow, my sister wasn't too much into the Kello Kitty thing but I figured since she didn't have a theme and Hello Kitty is so girly and cute, why not! Thank God she loved how everything turned out.

Here is the invitation, favors and centerpiece.
This is the gift I made her. Got this cute basket from Ross and stuffed it full of goodies.
Instead of the traditional cake, I wanted to do something prettier and easier to serve. So I made this cupcake tower. My daughter baked all the cupcakes and they were delish! I think this came out really cute!
Here is her cake table along with all of the prizes we had for baby shower games. Of course I had to make a custom Hello Kitty box for each one! To make the table more pretty of course! LOL!
Here is my beautiful niece Mekayla. She was born on January 8th. Isn't she just adorable!

Thanks for stopping by, have a fab weekend!

A Shutt-erfly Valentine

Happy Saturday friends! Sorry I forgot to post this last night. I had some of my son's football friends over for a sleep over and things were a little crazy over here! They are really good boys but you can imagine how loud it can get when they are all having fun!

Anyhow, on to today's project.

I just love the template "shutt-erfly" from Lauren Meaders new store called My Time Made Easy. I used kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink to make the box. I just love how sturdy that card stock is. I wanted the red and black to really stand out so I left the decorating to a minimum. Sometimes simple can be so beautiful.
The image is from The Greeting Farm. I used the body of Stella and the head of Ruby. I just love all the new stamps Marie has been coming out with. Make sure you stop by her store on February 15th as she will be releasing a brand new line of Sprouts called the Cheeky Cherry Collection. If you haven't seen these girls yet, go check them out on her blog. They are so dang cute!!!

I made my box a little different from the actual template. I made it so that the top was removable so that the recipient wouldn't have to rip the box open. This box is a pretty good size too, I filled this one with a whole bag of those Dove chocolate hearts and as you can see, it didn't reach the top. I could have easily added another half bag.

Thanks for stopping by!

Be Mine.....

Wow, can you believe I'm posting two days in a row? I'm so proud of myself! LOL!

Well, today is the last day of school for my daughter before Valentine's Day so she stayed up late last night baking cookies for her Valentine's gifts for her friends and teachers. Thank God she loves to bake (cause I sure don't!) because she baked a lot of cookies! While she stayed home and baked me, my hubz and my son went to watch Avatar in the IMax theaters. I know, I know...what a bad mom...well, she didn't want to watch it and besides, I did make all of her packaging for her treats!
The movie was awesome!!!!! I have to admit I really didn't want to watch it but since my hubz begged, I couldn't say no. I'm so glad I went! If you didn't see it yet it's a MUST SEE!!! Especially in IMax!

Okay, now on to today's photo:

Since I had to make so much I decided to go with something simple. This box was a cinch to make. Found the cute ribbon at Flora-Dec and it was on sale! Yay! Who doesn't love a sale?
These boxes fit 5 regular sized cookies and let me tell you...it was so hard not eating them as I was packaging them for her last night when I got back! I did sneak a taste and they were delicious!!!

Have a beautiful day everyone!

A Gorjuss Valentine

Happy Wednesday everyone! My gosh has it been over a month since my last post!? My goodness! Anyhow, I have been working on some Valentine's Day stuff and I thought I'd share some them with you before Valentine's Day passes! LOL! I know I have been a terrible blogger but please bare with me. I think you'll enjoy what I have for you today.

My boss asked me to make her a set of Valentine's Day cards. She just loves the Gorjuss Girls so she requested that I use them. I couldn't resist to make a cute matching card box to send her cards in.

Here is a close up of the card.

I didn't want to make all of her cards the same so I made some red ones using a different Gorjuss Girl. And of course I made a matching card box for this set too!
Here is a close up the the red card.

Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with more Valentine's Day stuff!

Heartfelt Thanks

Now that my sons pop warner football season is finally over I can finally relax and get back into the groove of things. I really enjoyed spending all that time with the boys at practice everyday and games every weekend but it sure took a toll on me!

Here are the gifts I made for the ladies that helped to make our team such an awesome one! Our team mom, business manager and a few other ladies who put in so much time for our boys. I bought some Big Island Chocolate Dipped Shortbread Cookies and some Godiva Chocolate Dipped Pretzels and wrapped them all the same with a matching card.

For the players and the coaching staff I put together a video slide show of the entire season. That was another project that took up most of my time! I had no idea what I was doing cause I had never made a DVD before so I had to teach myself how to use the program I purchased. Let me tell you.....it was a lot of trial and error and hundreds of photos to edit! But I was determined to get it right so that it looked professional enough to give as a gift. I must say that I was very happy with the end result!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Aloha Friday!!!!!

A Special Gift for a Special Friend

Happy Wednesday everyone! I just wanted to share with you a little gift that I made for my boss. Many of you already know that I work for Nadine - The Suburban Psychic. If you haven't heard about her....where the heck have you been? LOL! If you really don't know who she is you can check her out on 98.5 every Thursday mornings at 7 a.m. Or you can visit her website or her blog. You can even click on the blinkie I have on the top left corner of my blog. She's an awesome psychic but most of all an amazing friend! I know some of you reading this are saying "I don't even believe in that stuff!" Well take my advice and give her a try, you'll be amazed!!!!

Anyhow, she had ordered a boxed set of monogrammed cards from me. She loves the color purple and adores the Gorjuss Girls. Here is what I came up with:

Since she is just the sweetest thing, I wanted to make her a couple more things to send with her order. I made this cute little desk top note set to match her monogrammed note cards.

A matching Post-It holder:
And this bookmark because she loves to read.
She received her box last week and said she loves her stuff! Yay, I'm so happy!
Have a beautiful day everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Pumpkin Head

I can't believe Halloween is right around the corner! I made this box a few weeks ago thinking I could put it aside to post later (since I've been so lazy to post!) but this morning I looked at the date and totally spazzed out! So here it is, before Halloween comes and goes without me putting this up. Ha!
This box was made using Lauren Meader's Tucked Away template and TGF's Spooktacular set. Kinda hard to tell that I just love everything Lauren Meader and Greeting Farm!
This box can hold 3 of these Reeses Peanut Butter Cups.

Have a beautiful weekend everyone!

Creepy Crispies

With Halloween just around the corner, I figured I'd better hurry up and post these up before it passes! Can you believe that it'll be October already? Where did the days go!? Anyways, I had a whole box of rice crispy treats that we didn't end up using for my sons football team so I decided to create a box to wrap them in for Halloween. It was really simple, I just measured the rice crispy treat and designed a simple little box that measures 2" x 3.5".
I think I will make these for my kids to give their classmates this year. Even though my kids are getting way too old to be passing out treats in school, their friends always look forward to what I'll be making them next. So it's always fun to make things for people who really appreciate them!
This cute little witch is from TGF's Spooktacular set.

Here's another one with Spooktacular's little mummy. He is so cute!
A close up of the embossed spider web pattern on the back of the box made with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Isn't that just too cute!

Have a wonderful evening everyone! Thanks for coming to visit!

Fold N' Go Butterfly

My gosh how long has it been!? Sorry for being M.I.A. but so much has been going on and I have been uber busy! With my son's football starting up, a new job and my grandmother being in the hospital I have had hardly any time to do anything! It's been pretty rough not having any time to craft! I sure do miss all of you and now that I have some time I must go and check all of your blogs to see what I have been missing! LOL!

With all that aside, I did manage to make this beautiful gift box using the "Fold N' Go" template by Lauren Meader. This template comes in two sizes, small and large. This one uses the large template and you can find it here. The sentiment and butterfly stamps are from C.C. Designs and you can find them here. I just adore this stamp set and the template was so easy to follow.

That's it for today, I have to get to work. I hope you all have a fantabulous weekend!

A million hugs!

Teachers Gifts Galore

Okay, so remember I said I had to make 14 teachers gifts?  Well at 1:00 this morning I FINALLY finished!  Not to mention  I had to wake up at 5 this morning to make some Spanish Rice for my daughters class party!  I am wiped out but oh well, since I'm on a roll I'll be doing some vacuuming and I'll shampoo my carpets too.  All this crafting left me so little time to get things done around my house.

Okay, now on to the project.
This is not a good picture cause it was in the wee hours and the lighting was so bad but this was made using the "Pack-A-Picnic" template from Papertrey Ink.  I made a variety of different colors and styles but to tell you the truth I was in no mood to have a "photo session" ! LOL!
Here are the contents inside.  I included General Foods International coffee and some chocolate dipped Biscotti.

Here are some cookies that were wrapped in DP.  Just something really simple and fast!  I also made some desktop post-it holders but I wrapped it before taking pictures.  I was so bummed but was in no mood to have to rewrap them again just for a picture.  My brain must have fallen asleep while my body kept going!   Well I'm glad it's over now I can relax and just craft for the joy of it (after I clean the house!).
Okay, I'm off to do some housework!  TFL have a beautiful day!

Annika and a Card Couture

Have you guys seen the new release of templates by Lauren Meader over at Papertrey Ink?  This is called "Card Couture" and  it can hold a lot of A2 sized cards.
Anyway, a friend of mine who used to stamp with me many, many years ago quit stamping cause she never had any time.  Since then I have been making all of her cards for her.  After she seen all the images from The Greeting Farm she fell in love with them and has been wanting to start stamping again.  So to get her back into the groove of things I thought I would make her this gift.  Her favorite image is "Annika" so of course I had to put her on the front of the box!
Here is a picture of another angle so you can see the details of the handle.
Opened view.  Flap stays put with a velcro dot.
Used the Martha Stweart Scallop border punch for the detail on the back.
Instead of filling this card couture with finished cards.  I filled it with some Greeting Farm images to help get her started.  I hope she likes her gift!  TFL!  Have an awesome weekend!
