Sweet Love Letters

I have been waiting a while to post this project.  Do you remember when we were in grade school and the teachers would let us make these boxes to put all of our Valentine's Day cards in, and we would get all these sweet little cards and treats from our friends? Well, with that in mind I have been on the hunt for these cute little mailboxes and I finally got them in!  My best friend lives in Texas so I had her raid all the Target's she could find.  She bought whatever she could get her hands on and sent them to me!  This is the first one I made.  This cute little monkey is from The Greeting Farm's Sweet Deal set.  Isn't he stinkin' cute?  I wrapped some Hershey's Nuggets in DP from My Minds Eye to fill it with.  The mailbox is metal and both of the doors open.  It measures about 5" x 3".  I'll be making much more since I have orders for them already so I'll post those pictures in a later post.

This is so adorable, cute, I think I need to see if my inlaws (spread through out Texas) can look for these cute mail boxes! I want to try something like this. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful idea.

I had the same idea. But I couldn't find those mailbox tin can at any of the craft store. I remember seeing it before at Ben Franklin but I guess they discontinue. My son is in kindergarten and for Valentine' Day, they need to design a V-Day mailbox using a shoe box or Kleenex box or anything that retriangle shape. So I was think of that tin can because it shape like a mailbox. So we decided to just use a box. Each student will be handing out letters/cards to each other. Your so creative I admire your work.
